Areas around 11, Tappyeong-ri, Jungangtap-myeon

The Seven-Story Stone Pagoda in Tappyeong-ri, Chungju (Jungangtap Tower) is the National Treasure 6, and is the highest stone tower of all the remaining stone towers from Silla Kingdom at 7-story (14.5m) tall. It is called Jungangtap Tower because it was constructed at the center of the country during the reign of King Wonseong in Silla Kingdom.

Around the Jungangtap Tower, a sculpture park has been constructed on a wide lawn, and Chungju Museum and Chungju Liquorium is located there. Meanwhile, at the Tangeumho Lake, formed by making regulation dam at the Namhangang River, you can enjoy water sports and leisure activities, thus providing the leports side of Chungju.
