Good Chungju

Ureuk Culture Festival is an indigenous cultural arts festival with history and tradition, and has continuously developed to become a venue for the harmony and advancement for the citizens.

It has been held every year since 1971 to commemorate Ureuk, the sacred musician, Kim Saeng, Kang su, and Generals Shin Rip and Im Gyeong-eop as well as inherit and develop indigenous cultural arts. It has been developed as the venue for harmony and advancement of the citizens starting with a splendid opening ceremony featuring fireworks, and over 50 affiliated events including Taekkyeon demonstrations, Gayageum Contest, and Myeonghyeon Memorial Service.
